What we do
Everyone’s increasingly aware of the urgent need to address climate change and biodiversity loss. Plant Up is here to support positive actions, helping communities create practical, locally led projects that are good for the environment and great for bringing people together.
Our projects include community gardens, rain gardens, pollinator habitats, and climate-resilient planting schemes. From brownfield sites to housing estates, street-scapes and shared green spaces - each project is shaped by its place, its history, the people who use it, and the wildlife it can support.
Our services
-
We design, deliver and care for sustainable, community-led, biodiverse public green spaces.
-
We are trained in rain garden and rain planter design and installation, climate-resilient planting design strategies and are equipt to undertake the long-term care of green spaces, planting schemes and rain gardens.
-
We work hand-in-hand with residents, housing associations, and local organisations to ensure green spaces reflect community needs and aspirations.
-
We deliver hands-on, accessible learning opportunities that build skills and confidence, and inspire people to care for the green spaces surrounding their homes.
-
We specialise in creating green spaces that support wildlife that are also accessible and welcoming to people, including - pollinator-friendly planting schemes, habitat creation inspired by open mosaic and brownfield environments, and low-input high-impact ecological greenspace design.
-
We design and deliver bespoke, functional green infrastructure that can be installed directly or built through community workshops, including; green-roofed bug hotels, gabion seating and planters, rain planters and habitat features.
